Since February 1939 the Miami bound Silver Meteor has been one of America's well known cross country passenger train that ran from New York, NY to Miami, FL a total of 1,389 miles. The train has see a change of railroad hands from the Seaboard Air Line (SAL) to Seaboard Coast Line (SCL) and now Amtrak. Seen here today with the changes of time, and more modern locomotive, the Silver Meteor make its normal schedule run through Folkston, GA on its way to its next stop in Jacksonville, FL, than eventually arriving to Miami, FL by the end of the day.
