Amid autumn’s golden colors, Burlington Northern Santa Fe GE C44-9W No. 980 emerges from Shed 10.7 east of Java, Montana, on October 8, 1996. Trailing the brand-new Dash 9 is a LMX GE B39-8 and a Santa Fe EMD SD75M.
