DMIR SD9 No. 158 is serviced along with SD18s 177 and 190 during the night in the Proctor diesel shop at Proctor, MN. this shop was built in the 1950s to support maintenance of the then new SD9s. The SD18s received in 1960 completed dieselization of the DMIR allowing the retirement of remaining Yellowstones and 2-10-2s.
