What a special cable car, many tourists take pictures! The Gelmerbahn has only one car and run from Handeck (1412 meters over sealevel) to Gelmer (1860 meters over sealevel), length 1028m, until 106% grade, during of this trip 10 min, built 1926. The passengers look to the valley, this car run downhill. On the right side you see a part of the Grimselpassstrasse (road over the Grimselpass). The owner of the Gelmerbahn is KWO (KWO means Kraftwerke Oberhasli: Kraftwerk = generating station, Oberhasli is called this region). Thats why there are many electrical towers.
