Remarks & Notes
Today in the "Au harbor" of Muttenz near Basel, the first six cars of the first doubledeck trainset for Aeroexpress (Moscow), built by Stadler Rail in Altenrhein/Switzerland, were loaded to the Rhine ship "Miranda", which will bring the train to Amsterdam. Then the six cars go with another ship to Mukran on Rügen/Germany, where the train is coupled together the first time in the harbor on a russian broad gauge track (1524 mm). Then it goes by railway ferry "Kaunas" to Klaipeda/Lithuania and by rail to the Stadler work in Minsk/Belarus for commissioning. In decembre 2014 the first train should be ready in Moscow for test runs. Stadler Rail will deliver a total of 25 trains, 9 with 6 cars and 16 with four cars. Only the first four trains will be built in Switzerland, the others in Minsk/Belarus. The 6 car trains will be 155 meter long, 3,4 meter width and 5,24 meter high, running up to 160 km/h with a maximum power of 5200 kW under 3000 V DC, on three different lines from Moscow to the airports of Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo and Vnukovo. Here we see one of the about 26 meter long cab car hanging above the ship.
