Remarks & Notes
This engine was built by Baldwin Locomotive Works in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1896 for the Florence & Cripple Creek (Colorado) railroad and was named ‘Goldfield’. It was later transferred to the Denver & Rio Grande in 1917 as engine 428 and later renumbered to 318 for the Denver & Rio Grande Western railroad. It was donated to the Colorado Railroad Museum in 1954 and received a thorough restoration in 2012.
