| Early morning glint at Sunol depot on a PLA/GGRM photo special. The combine behind the tender lends a lot of authenticity, since head end cars are few and far between at museums, and most passenger trains had head end cars back in the day. I wonder how authentic the "Southern Pacific Lines" on the tender is, in my experience the railroad name was just painted on the tender. But that is a minor issue. The 2472 is a beautiful machine. |
