After a day of running up and down the scenic Niles Canyon, SP 2472 poses next to Fairbanks-Morse #1487 in front of the Sunol depot as part of a GGRM night photo shoot. Note, the Fairbanks-Morse is not truly SP (as it is seen wearing SP tiger stripes). The FM is actually an ex-U.S. Army unit that has been transformed into an SP replica.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
