After three hours of weed cutting to get this shot of the Royal Canadian Pacific Business train headed for London, a cloud decided to cover the sun... Needless to say, I was furious, however all I could do is make the best of what scene offered. Two historical figures appear in this shot, with CP 4107, an EMD FP9 built in 1957, and the Summerhill-North Toronto Station clock tower, which dates back to 1916. These two have little relation however, other than their age because the station was closed in 1931, rocked by the Great Depression, and the new Union Station. Since then, it has operated as a liquor store, and whether a passenger train will stop here again anytime soon is uncertain, as even Metrolinx (GO Transit) has been showing little interest of late in making this station what it is meant to be again.
