Remarks & Notes |
Last of the Lightning Stripes The last two Delaware & Hudson painted locomotives on Canadian Pacific's roster lead local D45 north toward Saratoga. The lengthy train is passing through the "concrete canyon" in the median of I-787. The historic D&H Building provides a fitting backdrop on this cloudy morning. This building was constructed in stages from 1914 to 1918 and housed D&H corporate headquarters until the early 70s. It is now on the National Register of Historic Places and serves as an administration building for the State University of New York (SUNY). |
