Out of some crazy stroke of luck, I managed to pass the Apache Railway yard near Snowflake, AZ just as a three pack of rare Alco and MLW locomotives departed north for Holbrook, AZ. The trio went north as light power to the BNSF interchange and returned with a train of well cars to be stored. And all of this happened on an almost defunct railroad.
