Remarks & Notes

On a foggy and misty day the anchor off the USS Duluth (LPD-6) is moved from a flatcar onto its concrete display stand along Duluth's Lakewalk near the Vietnam Veteran's War Memorial. The USS Duluth was launched in 1965 and served in the Vietnam War and was decommissioned in 2005, its anchor recently being saved from the scrapper's torch and trucked to Duluth.
