RUPO crosses the Fore River with a decent length train, stretching around the curve and below the overpass on the left. This view has only recently been possible since the old Alt Route 1 Veteran's Memorial Bridge was replaced by a new bridge. Previously, there was almost no space between the highway bridge and rail bridge, and far fewer options for photographers. Here is a link to a shot I took in 2010 from the old highway bridge that has since been replaced. Back then, if a train took the track closer to the road bridge, it would be buried shadow. The new bridge clearly allows a larger variety of angles too.
