A 13 car EMU heads through Tonbridge on a Folkstone Harbour to London Victoria, boat train.The lead car is a class 419, motor luggage van. These were fitted with traction batteries, allowing them to operate away from the 3rd rail system, to take luggage direct to the ships. Also they were able to work vacuum braked trains, very unusual for the southern region.
