A mid-summer severe thunderstorm associated with a major cold front terrioizes the small town of Nitro as it tears through the Kanawha Valley with heavy rains, thunder, and an impressive lightning show... Thunderstorms in W.Va. this late in the summer season are a little unusual, with many of our storms taking place between April and June.
