Remarks & Notes |
Three Re 4/4 II locos Nos 11333, 11340 and 11349 cross the Haggrigen Bridge as they descend from the Gotthard tunnel with a short northbound freight train. This bridge was swept away by a rock slide just before the railway was fully opened in 1882 and has two wires across the opening which if broken by another slide will immediately set all signals to danger. Wassen church can be seen above the distant avalanche shelter. |
