This is the cabview of first prototype of experimental Bertin Aérotrain (Skytrain). Commands are like airplane commands but it is really a monorail train ! (See RPN#489066 for external view of this prototype).This air levitation train circulating on a monorail on December 29, 1965. This day, the prototype reaches 90 km / h on a 1 Km track and reached 200 km/h on a longer 6.7 Km track. The levitation lift was provided with by 2 Renault Godini engines (The same as Renault R8 !) with centrifugal fans designed by Bertin. Propulsion, through the three-bladed propeller, was performed with a 260-hp Continental engine. The 6.7 km test track was built between Limours and Gometz-Chatel on SouthWest of Paris. After this validation, Another prototype (Aérotrain 02) have also circulated on this track the following years. This train was exposed on Ajecta Association (who's preserved steam locomotives) during a celebration meeting.
