After performing a station stop at San Clemente Pier, a northbound Metrolink led by EMD F59PHI No. 880 parallels the beach on a route appropriately titled, the Pacific Surfline. The train is enroute to Orange from Oceanside. The photo perspective is approximately 25' from the shoreline and was captured in waist deep water among some, at times, forceful waves.
