Remarks & Notes

As the sun sinks behind the Tehachapi Mountains a northbound BNSF stack train makes its way across the Mojave Desert floor between the sidings of Bissell and Sanborn. It has spent the last hour in the hole at Bissell where it met two opposing trains. It is now making good time towards Mojave where it will start its accent of Tehachapi Pass on UP rails.
