In the "blue hour" 8 large german steamlocomotives are gathered in the depot of DGEG in Neustadt/Weinstrasse on the occasion of the Rheinland-Pfalz steam festival 2014. From left the 3 express train "Pacific" locomotives 01 118, 01 150 and 01 202, then the 2 "Mikado" 2-8-2 for mixed traffic 41 018 and 41 360 (both oil fired), then the 3 freight train locomotives 2-10-0 52 4867, 52 7596 and 52 8134. All locomotives were under steam pressure.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
