The countdown is on as the newest Genesee & Wyoming property, the Rapid City, Pierre & Eastern, is going to transfer from CP ownership in a couple days. Along the east end of what will be the new RR an empty unit hopper train rolls west through the sweeping curves near Lake Benton. The first two units on this train will be going with the sale while the third, a newer SD30ECO will be going back and remain on the CP.
