Remarks & Notes |
An icon of northern Canadian railroading rests in a MOW equipment line at White River, Ontario awaiting its possible call to service next winter. This particular car was created by welding frames to CP 256074, a 40 foot steel box car. Several were transformed and stationed on routes that had tunnels and other overhead obstructions that were prone to icicle formation that could damage railcars and their products. They typically were positioned behind the power or in front of excess height cars such as auto racks. |
