A late running train 9402 provided an opportunity to photograph a location where the trains are scheduled to run at night. Five class 39-200's hauling 50 type CR wagons, loaded with chrome ore from the mines at Steelpoort, are seen climbing out of the valley of the Spekboom River. This scenic line runs through the foothills of the Transvaal Drakensberg, which form the escarpment between the highveld and the lowveld.
