In spite of being formally withdrawn from passenger service just over a year ago, V/line has kept two members of the A class available for use in case of locomotive shortages, and on a handful of occasions over the past year they have been called into service. On one such occasion A70 accelerates away from the new grade separation at Anderson Road, Sunshine, with the 1615 Bacchus Marsh commuter service.
