NS 204 slowly rolls up to the Toccoa Amtrak station to hold for a meet with Amtrak 19, the southbound Crescent, which is at the end of the double track about 5 miles to the north. Northbounds don't like to stop past Toccoa for a meet, as they prefer to cross over to the 1 side at Park, the next CP to the north, and they can get the proper signal indication in downtown at the Sage Street signal. If trains end up taking an approach at Park, they have a very hard time bringing it to a stop from 60mph at Tugalo despite the 3-mile block between the two. Welcome to North Georgia's version of mountain railroading.
