NYS&W rosters four SD40T-2 locomotives. Three are on the active roster, with the 3010 stored out-of-service. With the inclusion of the six SD60 locomotives in 2012, the SD40T-2 locomotives have been bumped from road service to local and switching duties. The 3016 (former Southern Pacific 8542) is shown at the fueling pad in Ridgefield Park, as shown from the railfan friendly sidewalk of Route 46.
From a hint of "Bee" (NKP 765), colorful "Bees" (KCS), "Bees" w/ "attitude", to "Bees" that "sting" your eyes, in their own way they have "Bee" on display! Equipment that "Buzzes" with Yellow & Black colors! ("Bees" can still "Bee" entering this "hive"!)
