Norfolk Southern's "Pennsylvania" Heritage Unit no. 8102 made a trip from Beaumont, Texas to the oil loading facility at Swan Ranch near Cheyenne, Wyoming. After dropping off their train so it can be loaded once again, the power was put on an outbound set that will head south to be unloaded once again. NS 8102 was put as the DPU on the outbound train to Korf, Texas. Swan Ranch is a Logistics Hub for Cheyenne that has complete rail access from BNSF and soon Union Pacific. WATCO Transportation Services operates the privately owned Swan Ranch Railroad which currently rosters a SD40-2, SD40T-2, and GP30. Right now, the only thing running out of the facility is BNSF oil trains that run south down the Front Range Sub to refineries down south. BNSF's Cheyenne Local does travel to the Hub to switch buffer cars, lumber and another commodity that lies within the park. For more information, visit their website: Click Here
