Early on a bright Sunday morning as the PRASA (Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa) / Shosholoza Meyl shunter in Durban, 36-251, exits her overnight staging spot in the Catering Shed just north of Durban Station. There was a busy day ahead of her and her crew with one arriving and two departing passenger trains. Class 18E locomotives, 18-428 / 18-422, who arrived the previous day and spent the night in the shed as well, would depart later in the day with the "Trans Natal" overnight return service to Johannesburg.
