Remarks & Notes
In March of 2000 the DM&IR suffered a major derailment of a loaded ore train at the base of Steelton Hill. The train was an all-rail move from U.S. Steel's Minntac plant to Geneva Steel in Utah. This busy line (also used by CN) was out of service for 36 hours and trains detoured over Proctor Hill, including a handful of CN freights.

Pictures of things often unseen in the world of railroading. Interesting equipment, operations, and people that help the railroad go around.
