Transnet Freight Rail are currently using pairs of class 43 diesels to haul 50 wagon trains of coal in open containers from Arbor siding (between Delmas and Ogies) to Eskom's Majuba power station, near Volksrust. At least two trains a day have been observed on this service. One of these empty workings is seen on the Natal main line between Greylingstad and Balfour, returning to Arbor. Patches of the pink and white Cosmos flowers that bloom at this time of year on the highveld, add to this rural scene.
