There are still pieces of history out there. An old Duluth, Missabe and Iron Range Railroad bunk car resides in the United Taconite bone yard, used as a storage shed for spare parts and pieces. Built in 1908 by the AC&F Company as DM&N dining, kitchen and sleeping car 110 and eventually became DM&IR W-110 and was used in Two Harbors as a stationary bunk car for Train and Enginemen. In 1985 it was moved to Proctor, MN and was deemed "deteriorated beyond economical repair" and thus retired.
