The past few summers have seen TTC 4549 operating Sunday afternoons on the Harbourfront line, special destination sign and all. With the reopening of the Kingston Road Streetcar line at the end of 2013, an afternoon of free rides was planned, but cancelled due to weather. They could not have chosen a nicer day to bring out this vintage PCC, which used to run this line in regular service until PCC services was cancelled December 8th 1995. 4549 was built in 1951, and rebuilt in 1989 as part of the TTC's PCC rebuild program.
