| Flying high over Box Canyon bridge a Burlington Northern westbound freight descends from the Palouse interior into Snake River Canyon on the former SP&S railroad. This line was abandoned in 1988 and all traffic was routed over the former Northern Pacific line to the north between Spokane and Pasco, WA. |
