Always cognizant of railfans’ love of steam locomotives, Southern Ry’s. famous 2-8-2 4501 single-handedly took enthusiasts upgrade out of Bristol, Virginia on June 15, 1985, under a former N&W position light signal. N&W’s old Bristol roundhouse was behind me, to the right.
