Remarks & Notes 
The first seasonal all-rail ore train from U.S. Steel's Minntac plant to the Port of Escanaba (Michigan) rolls south across the St. Louis River with 200 light-loaded cars (CN 8102 was on the rear and they added another unit to the point at Pokegama for the trip south). The port of Escanaba can ship earlier in the season than ice-choked ports along Lake Superior and these pellets will be headed from there to the Gary Works.
