Remarks & Notes 
C&O had 15 Class C-12 0-10-0’s, most of which worked the heavy coal cuts at Peach Creek, W.Va. By Oct. 6, 1956, 142’s services were no longer needed. It’s tiny headlight was mounted on the pilot beam, back under smoke box. Perhaps C&O realized the headlights wouldn’t be used very much.
