Remarks & Notes |
A Westbound D&H freight passes the Chessie Systems Leroy Switcher at Silver Springs, NY. The WM 3578 is parked for the weekend in the small yard as the crew apparently outlawed there. It was unusual for the Leroy Switcher to be found outlawed somewhere, it generally always made it back to Leroy. In the mid 1980's the Leroy Switcher was abolished and the Chessie road trains would have to go into Silver Springs to work. This involved parking their train on Gainesville Hill and running down the branch to Silver Springs. |
