Remarks & Notes
I think many people, including natives such as myself, tend to think that New York City is laid out on flat 4x8' plywood tables. I submit with this image that it is not. Looking west from the M line's Brooklyn's Myrtle-Wykoff station to the Knickerbocker Ave and Central Ave stations we see that the topography dips and swoops like a bird rather than a solid straight line. The consist I believe is made some of the newest cars of the MTA subway, the R-160A's. These were built by either by Kawasaki or Alstom in the years 2005-2008. In the distance can be seen a tower at Myrtle Ave where the M line joins the J and Z line.

Good Light, Good Scenery, and a Train

Album created by member Lee Kirchhoff
Album Views: 31,260
Landscape photography is difficult due to the challenge of combining good light and good scenery. Good railroad photography enters another level of complexity since it requires the first two while there is a train in view.

A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
