| The engineer on 1143 has left his short train on the scale track at Bernice and is waiting for the engineer of 15 to shove his cut clear of the switch. When that move is complete, 1143 will pull up behind the little EMD and the double-header will shove a substantial cut of hoppers - all loaded with newly creosoted ties - up the hill toward 19th Street where they will join with a cut already there to make a 60-car train headed for BNSF. |
