Today's noon "Rameswaram Express" (Train #16101) nineteen cars are hauled by WDM-3A GOC class loco ( Road #16499R) as it emerges ever so slowly out of the Pamban Bridge's cantilever section. Pamban Bridge became operational 24th Feburary, 1914 and completes 100 years of operation.
