The Nickel Plate, officially the New York, Chicago & St. Louis Railroad Company. NKP Alco PA-1 #189 & #182 (Bluebirds) on train #7 The Westerner, crosses the NYC (MC) tracks at South Gary, Indiana. 35mm slide from my collection, photographer Van Dusen.
