Built by English Electric,and introduced in February 1963,Class 37 No. D6811 stands underneath the coaling stage at Saltley depot,Birmingham,in March 1969.Although steam use had ceased the previous year,many artifacts from the age were still standing,some for many years later.The coaling stage here was demolished not too long after this picture was taken.
