Cities Sprinter at Sunset: Amtrak 600 has now settled into a routine, having hauled regular Northeast Direct trains for four days as train 129 crosses the Raritan River viaduct at sunset. The glow of the setting sun does little to make the scene appear warm, as the Northeast continues to deal with below normal temperatures and regular snow storms. Interestingly, the NJ Transit train that is passing northbound on track 1 in this photo was powered by an ALP-45DP dual mode unit, one of NJT's newest locomotives.
