CCP 8171 leads a coal train out of the tunnel at East Dubuque, IL. The tunnel cuts into the bluff, turns 90 degrees, then exits onto a diamond over the former Burlington mainline before crossing the Mississippi into Dubuque. CCP was formed from old Illinois Central lines in northern Illinois and Iowa, and along with IC, became part of CN. This train originated on BN and will tie up at a barge transfer facility a few miles south (east) of this location.
