A Chicago and North Western freight approaches the gooseneck while rumbling through West Bottoms in Kansas City, Missouri, on September 16, 1990. The train is passing some additional C&NW power, that includes a pair of GP38-2s, and a Gateway Western freight led by five former Conrail GP38s.
