| JR East operates the "Odoriko" service between Tokyo and the Izu Peninsula, a famous seaside resort in the southern part of the Tokyo metropolitan area, using these 251 series EMU's. One of these limited expresses is seen passing through Yokohama city on the Tokkaido Line. The 251 series entered service in 1990 for luxury resort service. The word "Odoriko" means "a dancing girl" in Japanese. |
