| In an uncharacteristically bright interlude between the seemingly endless dreary weather, two of Britain's classic 4-6-0 'Mixed Traffic' locomotives cross the River Irwell. Formerly with rival companies, the locomotives LMS 'Black 5' (pilot) and LNER 'B1' (train) are now united in harmony! Opinion remains divided over their respective merits, but frankly they're both wonderful machines. |
