Remarks & Notes
Approaching the Buchanan Wye at Devon, export coal loads cross Knox Creek near Milepost 3 on the Buchanan Branch mainline in Pike County Kentucky. This unique N&W coal mining branch contributes a large percentage to daily export coal drags on today's Norfolk Southern Pocahontas mainline.
