Remarks & Notes
The 34.5 km (21.4 miles) double track Yamanote Line in Tokyo follows a circular route around the city with 29 stations. This train is arriving on Track 2 at Hamamatsucho station and is running counter-clockwise or "inner circle" (uchi-mawari in Japanese). On Track 3 commuters await the arrival of the next "outer circle" train to Shinagawa and Shibuya. Trains run 4 to 5 minutes apart in both directions.
