Remarks & Notes
The Rio Grande Ski Train has just exited the west portal of the Moffat Tunnel at Winter Park, Colorado, on February 16, 2002. With business car “Kansas” just outside the portal, the train is now stopped and unloading anxious passengers ready to hit the slopes on this pleasant sunny day. Waiting for the passage of the Ski Train is an eastbound BNSF freight in Winter Park siding, seen peeking through the trees just to the left of the concrete portal.
